Cindy Pitts
Cindy Pitts is the wife of Fred Pitts and the mom of five children. She is a graduate of Wesleyan College and worked on her master’s degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where she met and married her husband of 28 years. God blessed them with children and Cindy was privileged to work at home, schooling the children. She and her husband have dedicated their lives to God’s Word, how to apply it to every aspect of life, and creative ways to help others do the same. Currently, Cindy is the director of Artios Conservatory of Gwinnett, a fine arts school for home schooled students interested in pursuing excellence in the arts while impacting our culture. Believing that the family is the first place to start, they have enjoyed years of training their children and are now reaping a harvest of blessings beyond imagination. As the psalmist says in Psalm 16, “the boundary lines for me have fallen in pleasant places”.

The Hidden Art of Homemaking
Is the art of homemaking passé? Has the desire to be a creative stay- at- home mom gone by the way of technology and ‘progress’? Can the 21st century family on one income enjoy and participate in the arts? Are there ways to bring beauty in to our homes without breaking the bank? Can families have a creative impact on our world? Edith and Francis Schaffer seemed to think so. Join me as I walk through Edith Schaffer’s book The Hidden Art of Homemaking giving practical tips on how to have a beautiful home that welcomes and blesses, how to encourage the arts in our homes, ways to encourage even those of us that think we are not “creative” to express beauty in and out of our homes, and more based on my 28 years of home making.
